New England Outerwear Co. have just that with their Mountaineer Boat, a moc-toe boot chukka cut comfortably above the ankle that embodies over 20 years of shoemaking expertise. High quality leathers are just the start as the custom made boots feature a nice contrast outsole. The N-1 boot was the official US Navy Boot during World War Two and known as teh "Boondocker". The shape is so iconic it forms the basis for many boots in modern day. It is extremely are to find an original pair, but McCoy's obviously did.
The Real McCoy's have taken it upon themselves to recreate the boot to the exact specifications as the original, if not a little better. The distinctive sole is a rubber and cord sole, specially produced by McCoy's. The graphics on the sole are a hand painted design that was cast into a mould.
The leather is cow hide suede which has been treated with dubbin by hand to offer water resistance.

The guys over at Handmade Brogues send me some custom made Double Monk Straps to review. Upon receiving these, i noticed a few things that had caught my eye on a visual standpoint. These shoes were exceptional quality. The leather material used on the inside and outside of the shoe, the hardware and the welt and the leather heel. For the price standpoint, 179.00USD via paypal is perfect. You can fully customize and tailor exactly how you want your shoe, from the type of leather (or better yet, material, YES they have snakeskin). Extremely fast shipping coming from overseas and great customer service via email.
