The Jazz scene of 1960s America was a time of sharp styles and new sounds, and an era that influenced music and fashion in equal magnitude. Ben Sherman's Spring ‘13 collection takes its sartorial lead from this era, and it is with a nod to Jazz Life, we present the seasons campaign. Continuing the theme of we work with our own, we revisit our creative collaboration with The Rig Out magazine to capture the shop boys of Ben Sherman, amongst a backdrop of some of London’s most iconic studios.
Mods and rockers take a dual role inspiring the Ben Sherman Plectrum Collection looks for FW2012. We will not go into the generalizations usually round when mentioning mods and rockers; at this point you are well aware of how far reaching both have been on British culture – as well as around the globe. Fuck the politics for a moment and focus in on the garments that balance both movements through contrasting cuts on trousers – both slim and straight leg (called by some as the “sloppy” 50′s look) – as well as in the outerwear that presents leathers against garment dyed goods.
