Edwin Jeans work with Berlin store Burg & Schild on their fifth anniversary ‘Black Collection.’ A limited run of 50, the brand lend their classic five pocket style this time constructed of 14oz  Black/Black Red Listed Selvedge denim from Japan’s Kaihara mill. Plenty of interesting detail here. Black twill, printed and numbered pocket bags, hand painted black copper donut buttons designed to fade to their original colour over time, hidden back pocket rivets, hand embossed vegetable tanned leather patch and a sweet bonus by way of a handmade tote bag formed from recycled military ground sheets. A nice collaboration and a rare opportunity to get hold of some solid black selvedge jeans, available soon, more over here.

"As we have pointed out many times over, there are technically two variants of theFilson Black label – one for Europe and one for North American. To put an end to the confusion, the North American line is now referred simply as Filson Black. Thanks for the clarity. Richard Chai has his hands and design work all over these looks. Refined cuts and an attempt to modernize (with respect) the original intention of the Filson garments will make this collection appeal to those well beyond the borders of workwear soldiers.

Our gallery features the complete collection from Filson Black including the bag collection." - Selectism
