Focussed on protection, and in particular waterproof insulation, the collection is made up of 15 transitional pieces, each one built to negotiate the complex demands of a modern urban environment, offering the wearer all the benefits of Arc'teryx's outdoor experience in a series of stripped-down silhouettes. A quick stop in London on the way to Pitti Uomo allowed for us to see the Margaret Howell Fall-Winter '13 presentation. As usual there were plenty of greys, blues and blacks featured through beautiful jackets, trousers and knitwear. The few colour additions came in olive, beige and burgundy, while the clothing was nicely accented by simple accessories and chunky leather shoes.

Once again Canadian magazine Inventory and Japanese brand Beams+ have collaborated on a small range of items. This shirt is made from a heavy selvedge hickory stripe cotton and comes with double flap chest pockets, plastic work buttons and rounded hem. Tab collar. A shirt to wear and tear to perfection.
