Know how you're walking down the street and you see someone with the exact same item as you? Well you don't have to worry about that with Forestbound. Forestbound only uses found and salvaged textiles to create a line of durable, utilitarian bags. Their designer Alice Saunders searches for the perfect historic fabrics and hardware all throughout New England. Most of these bags use materials from the '30s, '40s, '50s, and the general WWII era. Some of the unique fabrics include a WWII era US military duffel bag, a 1930s era cement worker's apron, and  a 1950s era Boyscout pack. The beauty of these bags is that while there may be some fabric discoloration, you don't mind it because that's what gives them character. Forestbound also uses some additional fabrics to give these bags a more luxe feel, like soft and supple deerskin. Find your perfect one here.

For many of my avid followers, you can see how much i appreciate simplicity and minimalism. The same company that made the double wrap cuffs i shot earlier in the year, sent me this awesome Minimalist Camera Strap. I threw the strap on my Konica FC1 35mm Camera to complete the look. It's a thick durable natural tanned leather that is hand stitch which allows them to focus on the quality of the strap. Check out the shots. You can purchase on HERE for 35$ USD

The Frank Clegg Leatherworks x Anchor Division Collaboration Weekender Duffel is a beautiful all-leather weekend bag made specifically for a weekend in the city. The idea was to mix the Anchor Division military inspiration with the classy works of Frank Clegg Products. This bag is a bit different from his standard bags. It features a dark chocolate stained tumbled veg tanned leather that looks great for evening arrivals. The bag is wrapped with natural vegetable tanned leather straps that will darken with age. The straps are hand-sewed and feature the collaborative "Anchor" at the end of the shoulder strap. The straps are completely adjustable. Stainless Steel hardware accent the bag featuring RiRi swiss zippers. The main zipper is a hide-away zipper. The most significant part of this bag is the lining. The lining is the DBDU (Desert Battle Dress Uniform) Also known as the Six-Color Desert pattern. This was the camouflage used during the Gulf War in the 1990's. Be on the lookout for more images. Frank Clegg is an exceptional designer that hand crafts an array of bags, accessories, and other fine products. Check out the rest of his products here. I was honored to have been invited to Frank Clegg's Workshop this weekend. It was on a Sunday afternoon and i really appreciated the fact that Frank was willing to go out of his way to meet, greet and get into great detail what he did for a living. I was highly impressed at the workshop alone but when he really showed me the full detail of his work and the thought and character he and him employees put into their products, i was in awe. Heres some of the photos with a brief description of what was in store for me.
