A chance to get to know The Quality Mending Co. in NYC. Established in 2002 by Oliver Harkness, the vintage menswear shop with a nice line in own name goods opens its doors for this short film from Co.MISSION featuring employee David Kirby. For those curious to know more, a great interview from Denimhunters over here. Harkness talks about his friendship with Bobby from Boston, his love of denim and the ideas behind the store and its well chosen stock (check out that row of Big Boy Banks in the window). Lots of beautiful vintage to spot, press play.

Founded in 1993 in New York by Japanese designer Takeshi Ohfuchi, Post Overalls designs still adhere to their original ethos of producing authentic, beautifully crafted clothing. Ohfuchi blends together robust, American workwear-inspired silhouettes with premium fabrics such as Wool Herringbone, creating authentic reproductions that painstakingly replicate the construction, materials and silhouettes of the original garments. The A/W’12 collection – aw with previous seasons – remains packed full of technical detail. utilising materials more suitable to the colder months, such as a heavyweight wool herringbone and robust cotton canvas. Outerwear makes up the bulk of this collection with the ever-popular Engineers Jacket and Royal Traveller Vest seeing an updated and worthy return. They sit neatly alongside the Cruzer Vest and a range of smartly tailored shirts, highlighting the practicality and accessibility of these workwear-inspired pieces.
Schott NYC and A Bathing Ape have reunited for the 2012 fall/winter season, resulting in this exclusive leather jacket. This time around the classic Schott NYC Riders jacket has been chosen as the base model. A rather in-depth process went in to choosing the type of leather that was used for the outer of the jacket. By selecting the hide of a cow that had birthed a calf over two years before, the team found that the resulting product was smoother and thinner than that of a steer but stronger and thicker than calf skin. To make sure whoever does purchase this jacket does not forget that it is a BAPE product the nylon inner features an OG Green Camo pattern throughout. All other branding has been kept to a minimum, with no obvious logos on show, not even the traditional BAPE tag. The A Bathing Ape x Schott NYC Riders jacket is expected to release in the fall with a Japanese retail price of ¥84,000 JPY (approximately $1,070 USD).
