Celebrating the spirit of youth in his homeland and the impact of sport and innovation on daily lifestyle, Russian designer and photographer Gosha Rubchinskiy teamed up with Nike Sportswear to shoot the lookbook for the brand’s Spring/Summer 2013 Pinnacle Collection. Fusing Nike‘s exclusive technologies with artisan craftsmanship, the collection features tailored off-field looks in elegant hues of blue, black, grey as it reinterprets a range of classic silhouettes and prominently utilizes Nike Tech – the brand’s latest technological progression that achieves a cooling effect by trapping air between layers of soft jersey. Standout pieces include the Transparent Coach’s Jacket, which remixes the traditional design with elements from Nike’s iconic Windrunner; the seam-sealed and waterproof Tech Trench; Over-Dyed Run Bomber with metallic yarn and reflective detailing; and a premium, seasonal upgrade to the Windrunner Zipped Jacket with body-mapped knit panels and a variety of zippers for maximum ventilation. Crafted in Italy once again, the latest pieces from the NSW Pinnacle Collection are now available at select retailers.
Continuing this year’s tributes to the Chinese zodiac, Nike Sportswear has crafted yet another “Year of the Snake” pack – this time featuring a trio of woven silhouettes with the brand’s Solarsoft cushioning. Opting for premium materials and subtle snakeskin detailing, the collection includes the Solarsoft Moccasin Woven alongside the Solarsoft Rache Woven and the Solarsoft Mule Woven. Eschewing its usual suede and synthetics, the Moccasin pairs a smooth leather toe box with matching snakeskin quarter panels while the Rache opts for a greyscale palette across its woven nylon and snakeskin upper. Finally, the unique edition of the clog-like Mule features an upper of green, yellow and black woven nylon while the lone snakeskin accent appears in the form of a black branding tab. All three Quickstrikes are set to be available in limited quantities from Scotland’s Hanon beginning this Saturday, March 23.
