Not entirely new to each, Hiroshi Fujiwara and his fragment design label teamed up once again with Bamford Watch Department. We can safely say that this new collaboration, which includes a fragment design x Bamford Watch Department Rolex Daytona and a fragment design x Bamford Watch Department Rolex Submariner watch, is by far the strongest that we have seen from the two.

Fujiwara not only being a Rolex fan, but also an avid collector since many years, took a very subtle, refined, yet smart and unique approach to the design of the two watches. Inspired by other watches in the Japanese designer’s collection, the outcome is timeless and beautiful.

“The fragment Submariner features the Bamford Watch Department’s unmatched MGT (Military Grade Titanium) coating to give the watch a sleek, timeless black sheen, which is then combined with subtle red highlights on the blacked-out dial and second hand, as well as the Fragment logo on the dial. The fragment Daytona, on the other hand, has received the same elegant black Bamford MGT treatment, but instead features a more striking design, consisting of a black dial with white sub-dials and resplendent blue and white highlights.”

Both watches are limited to 15 pieces globally and are exclusively available through Bamford Watch Department. Furthermore Bamford is holding an exclusive launch event at Lane Crawford in Hong Kong, tomorrow, May 23. If you are around, it might be worth passing by and reserving yours right on the spot.
