Today we can preview their upcoming “Gold Rush” Varsity Jacket, another great piece to look out for. An updated take on a classic varsity jacket, the piece offers wool construction with a contrasting body and sleeves, a buttoned placket, and two flapped patch pockets near the hem. Featuring an extra long ribbed collar and matching cuffs with contrasting stripes, the piece offers a button fastening for the collar – thus allowing it to be flipped down or extended upwards for added protection from the elements in especially harsh weather. Hailing from the American fashion designer’s 2012 fall/winter collection, this Thom Browne Varsity Jacket makes for an outstanding piece of outerwear. A throwback to college prep and varsity days, the piece uses light brown tweed in its body against contrasting white sleeves and front pocket accents. The silhouette is then artfully finished with a ribbed collar, cuff and waist trimmings in signature red, white and blue stripes. The casual jacket will soon be available here for ¥142,800 JPY (approximately $1,823 USD).
