Wolverine unveils one of its most luxurious renditions yet with the 744 LTD boot. Comprised of a rich and robust shell cordovan No. 449 leather upper, the archival reproduction falls within Wolverine’s respected 1000 Mile collection. As you’d expect with a release of this kind, a strong domestic story sees the involvement of the Horween Leather Company to provide their world renown American-made leathers. A limited run of 1,000 pairs will be available through select retailers including Neiman Marcus. Each pair comes complete with shoe trees and a numbered designation. A uniquely American story involving Filson and Wolverine is at the heart of this two-boot capsule come Fall 2012. Both brands have shared a common interest in high-quality, outdoor-ready footwear and apparel spanning over 200 years of cumulative experience. This undoubtedly serves as an underlying theme for the capsule. The range includes the 6-inch Emerson boot and the 8-inch Rowan boot, both of which bring in a third American party in Horween to provide the leather uppers and accentuate Filson fabrics. The Goodyear-welted construction is an expected part of the package and provides a long-term solution as the soles wear with use. The collection will hit select stockists of Wolverine 1000 Mile.
I decided to do a shoot on my cafe racer and my new pair of Wolverine 1000 Mile Boots that Wolverine was nice enough to send me. The boots in a way symbolized an early era of riding while representing a classic feel just as the bike does. I'm looking foward to wearing them out while riding and showing them off. The beautiful smell of leather emits from these boots and each time i get a smell, its a great feeling of having quality products on my feet.
