Element Case sent me one of their Vapor Pro cases for review. Working in the engineering field, you really appreciate the time and labor put into this case from visually observing it. This was made in the USA and in a machinists point of view, this was machined leaving virtually no tool marks. The pieces had to go through a tumbling phase as well as passivation and/or anodization. After, the case will be powdercoated any color your specify on the site. Its fully customizable (you can even have the small set screws painted). So, because this is an aluminum case, it makes the phone heavier. This is not a disadvantage though, it has more of a solid feel to it, which is a better substitute than a cheap plastic case. It has a high-impact polymer bridge which really provides protection in case of a drop. Although the way this case has some radii in the corners, it prevents the phone from slipping out of you hand when you're doing any type of holding of the case. Their own write-up on the site: "The Element Case® Vapor Pro™ is the most rugged, lightweight, and versatile iPhone case we've ever made. The profile is slightly taller than the Vapor Comp™ for greater impact protection, and has large connector cut outs for use with a full range of aftermarket cables and high end headphones. An aerospace polymer insert prevents "detuning" of the iPhone 4 antennas ,and alleviates the common "death grip." All this in a package weighing only 22 grams."
